Wayfarer TV: flying British Airways’ flight simulators in London

In a special episode of WAYFARER TV, join host James Wilkinson as he takes viewers to British Airways’ Flight Training Centre near London Heathrow, where he goes flying in the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

The state-of-the-art Flight Training Centre near Heathrow, where the airline’s 4,200 professional pilots are trained, contains simulators for British Airways’ fleet of Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft.

The general public are able to also do the experience, whereby would-be-pilots have the chance to take-off at any of British Airways’ near 200 worldwide destinations and land at another, with the simulators using cutting edge motion, audio and graphics technology to deliver a completely immersive experience.

All sessions are accompanied by a fully qualified British Airways instructor and no previous flying experience is necessary.

Flights in Boeing 767 simulators are available at £399 or in a simulated 747 jumbo jet or Boeing 777 for £449.

The experience starts with a full technical briefing from a pilot followed by an hour’s flying time in which you can land and take off from multiple airports as well as cruising through blue skies day or night.
