Hyatt Regency Sydney was named the leading Meetings and Conferencing Property at the 2020 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence recently (Nov 27) and for good reason because when it comes to COVID-safe events, this venue is truly leading the charge.

The hotel was the host venue of the 2020 Australasian Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE) in early September 2020, the largest (150 pax in person and 700 virtual) indoor business event to be held in New South Wales since the start of the pandemic in March and it was a meeting that Hyatt Regency Sydney truly excelled at.

At AHICE, social distanced seating, temperature checks, sit-down networking and even a COVID-safe buffet were some of the ways Hyatt Regency Sydney helped make the event happen – elements that were all brilliantly repeated at the HM Awards two months later.
