The third annual AHICE Fiji Islands Investment in Tourism Conference has wrapped-up in Nadi after three days of networking events, panel sessions and evocative keynote speeches.

AHICE Fiji was held at Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa and Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa this week (June 9-11) at the South Pacific hotel event where deals get done.

The biggest news came courtesy of Accor, thanks to a deal signed with Yavu Collective, a Fijian-owned investment and development group, that will see three distinctive hotels in Fiji join Accor’s global network, marking a significant milestone for the destination and reinforcing the Group’s continued momentum across the Pacific.

Bringing together Sofitel, The Sebel and TRIBE, the signing, builds on a long-standing relationship between Accor and Yavu Collective, which began with the opening of Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in 2005.

Ahead of the conference sessions at Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa, delegates took part in a charity golf game, sponsored by Luxury Escapes and Tappoo, at Denarau Golf and Racquet Club yesterday, where over FJ$2400 was raised for Nadi-based children’s orphanage, Treasure House Fiji.

At Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa, the Honorable Viliame Gavoka, Fiji Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, was in the house to lead off the conference with a popular welcome address.

“There is a reason Fiji convenes this summit each year,” Gavoka said to a round of applause. “As perhaps the only sector with a dedicated annual investment summit, we do so out of genuine commitment.

“Commitment to an industry that has demonstrated, time and again, its’ remarkable resilience and potential.”

Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Dr Paresh Pant also addressed AHICE Fiji 2026 delegates this afternoon, saying the country recorded 986,373 visitor arrivals in 2025, with an average stay of 9.5 nights.

Impressively, the year ending 2025 recorded an average ADR of FJ$601, with occupancy rates at 76%.

On day two at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, Fiji Assistant Minister for Commerce and Business Development, the Hon. Sachida Nand, closed out the conference with a keynote speech telling delegates Fiji was firmly open for business for global investors.

AHICE Fiji Islands is hosted by HM and Wayfarer magazines, co-hosted by Tourism Fiji and Investment Fiji, and has over 50 sponsors including Principal Partners Accor, Candela, IHG Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International, Tappoo and Travel + Leisure.
