With interior transformation led by Garrett Singer Architecture and Design, Winnie’s returns as a fully redesigned jazz destination where golden-age glamour meets modern New York edge, cementing its place among the city’s premier live jazz venues.
The reinvention centres on a dedicated performance stage and enhanced acoustics, surrounded by expanded banquettes, lounge seating, warm low lighting, and optimized sightlines that make every seat feel connected to the show.
Plush velvets in deep amber and dark emerald envelop the space, layered with richly patterned Mokum wallpaper and bold 1970s-inspired carpeting, blending flapper-era romance with modern graphic energy.

Subtle nods to the building’s former life as a hat factory are woven throughout the design, from sepia-toned peacock wallpaper to custom detailing.
“We opened Winnie’s thirteen years ago as the Refinery Hotel’s lobby bar, before introducing live jazz one or two nights a week,” said IGC Hospitality Owner, Terence Tubridy.
“That programming evolved into something far greater, creating a true jazz destination known for outstanding performances, elevated cuisine, and a dynamic bar program. This next chapter aligns Winnie’s as a serious jazz club, where the design matches the quality of the music, food, and beverage experience.”

Named in tribute to Winifred T. McDonald’s iconic 1920s Garment District café and tea salon, Winnie’s embraces its Art Deco roots while channeling the entrepreneurial and creative energy that once defined the neighborhood.
The result is a transportive, contemporary space where music, style, and nightlife converge, offering guests a choice of high-energy engagement around the stage and bar or intimate conversation in private banquettes.
Winnie’s redesign is complemented by a refreshed dining menu by IGC Culinary Director Barry Tonks and cocktail program by Beverage Director Nancy Santiago. The menu features small plates like Portobello Croquettes, Tuna Crispy Rice, and Cheese and Charcuterie with farmstead cheeses and artisan cured meats, alongside entrees including a 16oz Dry Aged Cowboy Steak and the brand new, unique Winnie’s Burger.

Cocktails are playful and presentation-driven, with highlights such as The Colony Arcade, a green-tea infused vodka drink served in a teacup; The Graceland, bourbon with honey, black walnut, and chocolate bitters garnished with a dehydrated banana laser engraved with Elvis’s portrait; and Negroni riffs like Midnight in Ginza and Jump Jive & Wail. A robust selection of mocktails, beers, and wines is also available.
Steps from Times Square, guests can enjoy pre- or post-Broadway show dinners and drinks, or opt for the Supper Club experience, featuring a three-course meal, bubbles, and reserved seating for an unforgettable evening of live performance.
