Recommencing from Sydney on October 29, the route will coincide with the start of the 2022–23 winter flying season and caters to the increasing number of Australians looking to travel to Los Angeles, both as a destination and as a gateway to other parts of the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, according to American’s Vice President of Operations and Commercial, EMEA and APAC, Kyle Mabry.
“Over recent months, we’ve seen the demand for North American flights from Asia-Pacific growing in popularity and competition,” he said.
“We’re excited to return to Australia as a challenger airline, providing customers with great service, fares and experiences for a key market for American.
American will operate its Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the route with three cabins, including 30 Flagship Business seats, 21 Premium Economy seats and 234 Main Cabin seats.
