The Westin Brisbane’s sky-high yoga pop-up

by James Wilkinson

In preparation for its opening in November, Marriott International has launched a unique pop-up for The Westin Brisbane.

The Westin Brisbane team has converted one of the Wheel of Brisbane gondolas into the ‘Westin Gondola’, designed to bring to life its commitment to helping guests maintain their health and well-being no matter where their travels take them – to the Wheel of Brisbane, around Australia or the world.

The Westin Gondola features soothing music and a guided 12-minute session of yoga elements including stretching, breathing and meditation led by Westin Brisbane Ambassador, Rachael Finch.

A gentle form of yoga, the session will allow riders to connect mind with body and take a pause for the benefit of their well-being and the initiative marks the first time any type of yoga has been available inside one of the Wheel’s gondolas.

The Westin Gondola is available free of charge to the public this week until Friday, September 21. Riders on the Wheel of Brisbane need to mention ‘Westin Let’s Rise’ at the ticket office to enjoy a taste of Westin’s approach to well-being.

Upon opening in November 2018, The Westin Brisbane will boast 299 guestrooms and a range of signature Westin Let’s Rise offerings to help bolster travellers’ health and wellbeing whilst on the road.
