The Langham Sydney’s brilliant, new dinner series

The Langham, Sydney has launched a new food and alcoholic beverage event at their restaurant Kitchens on Kent, starting on next week (Oct 8).

The Kitchens on Kent Dinner Series will compromise of a 5-course degustation menu paired with a different premium beverage partner at each event.

From Laurent-Perrier champagne, The Glenlivet whisky, beer from Wayward Brewery, gin from local producer Archie Rose Distilling Co, to the popular coffee liquor Mr Black; guests can choose their favourite tipple and attend that particular event – enjoying five courses with five pairings.

Working in collaboration with The Langham, Sydney’s Executive Chef Stephen Lech, each beverage brand ambassador has spent time to create the ideal match with a beautifully curated fine-dining cuisine.

Kitchens on Kent Dinner Series with The Glenlivet – Thursday 8th October

If you love a wee dram, you’ll love this exquisite menu. The first course consists of Glenlivet and beetroot cured Tasmanian salmon paired with The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve Peach Cocktail. Work your way through five courses with a matched 15 YO French Oak Reserve served with Southern Highlands Lamb Rack and finish with a Textures of Green Apple dessert coupled with The Glenlivet Nadurra Oloroso Cask.

Kitchens on Kent Dinner Series with Mr Black – Thursday 22nd October

Delight your taste buds with your favourite coffee liquor paired meticulously with a beautiful five-course menu. Indulge as Mr Black’s ambassador, Martin Hudak takes you through each course. From Mandagery Creek venison carpaccio matched with an Athena & Adonis cocktail to the Angus beef cheek paired with the Dark Boulevard concoction, finish your experience with nothing else – but the Ultimate Espresso Martini.

Kitchens on Kent Dinner Series with Laurent-Perrier – Thursday 5th November

Founded in 1812, Laurent-Perrier is recognised throughout the world as one of the finest of the Champagne Houses. In this five-course degustation, Caroline Desaulle discusses the chosen pairings along with tasting notes for the Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée, Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé and Laurent-Perrier Millésimé 2008. Your Laurent-Perrier offering will be matched with tuna tartare, dry aged duck breast and Hapuka fillet to name a few.

Kitchens on Kent Dinner Series with Archie Rose Distilling Co. – Thursday 12th November

Archie Rose Distilling Co. believe that spirits are best shared and so do we. Gather your friends to enjoy a selection of Archie Rose gin varieties from Vannella burrata paired with their Signature Dry Gin, Berkshire pork belly matched with the Distiller’s Strength Gin and a decadent passionfruit pavlova coupled with the Archie Rose Harvest 2019: Poorman’s Orange Gin.

Kitchens on Kent Dinner Series with Wayward Brewing Co. – Thursday 12th November

Born from a love of adventure and beer pilgrimages around the globe, Wayward Brewing Co. is a local brewery in Sydney’s Inner West, producing both classic and crafty styles with a distinct Wayward twist. For this one-off event, the collaboration with The Langham, Sydney brings a unique beer paring with a mouth-watering five-course menu. Start with the Wayward Ripasso Bianco – Discovery Series matched with a house-made chicken liver parfait before moving onto course two of Canadian scallops matched with a Wayward Pilsner – Core Range. Finish with the delicious The Snickers dessert coupled with Wayward Balthazar.

Prices start from AU$195 per person for one event, or AU$825 per person to attend all five events.
