Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge will introduce eight luxury villas next month.

Managed by 1834 Hotels, alongside the longstanding 38-room hotel, the villas been designed for serenity and seclusion with large, double-glazed windows that frame the waters of Eastern Cove and American River.
“It’s exciting to see this new chapter unfold at Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge,” said 1834 Hotels CEO, Andrew Bullock.
“The addition of these eight luxury villas introduces a new level of comfort and design to American River, offering an elevated accommodation experience that sits gently within the island’s natural environment.”
Each villa features a plush king-sized bed, contemporary living area and private deck and offer access to the hotel’s full suite of services including the bar and restaurant, and saltwater pool.
“With Kangaroo Island’s unrivalled appeal, the upcoming The Cliffs Golf Course and the new Sealink ferries opening up even more options to access the island, the timing is perfect to introduce a product like this that speaks to both indulgence and immersion,” Bullock added.
