New chapter unveiled for John Singleton’s Saddles retreat
The Grand Saddles Lodge, conceived by Australian entrepreneur, John Singleton, will feature just 20 private villas, dining, piano bar and day spa transforming the existing Saddles precinct into a “luxury destination” an hour north of Sydney.
Conceived by Aussie icon, John Singleton, and building on the success of Saddles Mount White, The Grand Saddles Lodge has been designed by Michelle Leslie alongside White + Dickson Architects and is said to reflect Singleton’s appreciation for hospitality and connection to the Central Coast.
“The Lodge’s villas have been conceived as peaceful retreats showcasing the work of local craftspeople and artists from the Central Coast,” the group stated. Each villa will feature separate living spaces, an open fireplace, private terrace and plunge pool, while a communal infinity pool and pool bar overlook the surrounding bushland.
Located within the main building at The Lodge, the restaurant will showcase Australian produce drawing inspiration from the surrounds. An on-site herb and vegetable garden will inform the restaurant’s seasonal, produce-led approach.
An Art Deco-inspired piano bar, Ned’s, will feature live jazz and anchored by a grand piano, it is expected to recall the elegance of the world’s great hotel bars.
The Spa at The Grand Saddles Lodge will include fivetreatment rooms, traditional and infrared saunas, ice baths and Australian treatments inspired by native botanicals.
Beyond The Lodge, guests can wander walking trails through the surrounding bushland, visit nearby oyster farms, explore the Hawkesbury River, with every itinerary tailored by The Grand Saddles Lodge team.
The Grand Saddles Lodge forms part of the wider Saddles precinct, joining the renowned Saddles restaurant, The Homestead, alongside The Barn and The Caravan.
