Hilton has revealed it has surpassed its key 2030 sustainability targets ahead of schedule following the release of its 2025 Travel with Purpose report.

The results showcase the purpose-led operations, energy efficiency efforts, and community impact initiatives the group has achieved across the 144 countries and territories where it operates.

Key milestones from this year’s report include reducing carbon emissions by more than 50% since 2008 at managed hotels, and 36% reduction at franchised hotels, a 37.1% reduction in water intensity and a 64.7% reduction in landfill waste intensity – surpassing its 2030 waste goal ahead of schedule.

The group also announced it made progress to 2030 targets by reducing plastics by 300,000 pounds, through the introduction of digital keys.

It has also provided US$119 million in financing to aspiring hotel owners through Hilton’s Unlocking Doors program.

Hilton is also focusing on its social impact, creating nearly 700,000 opportunities for learning and career growth, surpassing more than 3 million opportunities created since 2022.

Through the Hilton Global Foundation, Hilton is scaling its community impact worldwide and in 2025 distributed 2.3M+ meals, with over 2.4 million pounds of food donated and over 2.1 million pounds of waste diverted, resulting in impacting 995K+ community members.
