First major hotel to land as Western Sydney International Airport readies the runway

As Western Sydney International Airport gears up for its first commercial flight in late October, a new hotel is preparing to open just 20 minutes away as investment and development across the region gathers pace.

Developed in partnership between the Perich family and EVT Hotels and Resorts, Atura Oran Park is on track for its late October debut, bringing 184 rooms and suites, along with F&B and conference facilities to the area.

The hotel will feature an Italian-inspired restaurant and bar, resort-style pool and terrace, and generous communal spaces as well as flexible conference and event facilities to cater to a growing leisure and corporate market.

Positioned in the centre of Oran Park Town, the region is forecast to expand to more than 50,000 residents over the coming decades, while Western Sydney International Airport will welcome millions of passengers annually.

“We’re opening at a time when South Western Sydney is experiencing extraordinary growth and momentum, and being the closest hotel to the new Western Sydney International Airport puts us in a commanding position to support travellers in and out of Sydney,” Atura Oran Park Area General Manager, Shannon Craig said.

“Together with the Perich family, we’ve designed a hotel that feels open, vibrant and full of energy, with beautiful communal spaces, generous outdoor areas and places where people naturally want to spend time. The accommodation has been equally considered, with a mix of room categories catering to everything, including both overnight visits and extended stays. It’s contemporary and welcoming, with a design language that draws on the region’s motorsport ties and the Perich family’s heritage, creating a strong sense of place and connection to the neighbourhood that sits at the very heart of Atura.”

Atura Oran Park joins existing properties in Blacktown, Albury, Dandenong and Adelaide Airport. EVT Hotels Group GM, Callum Kennedy, said Oran Park was a natural fit for the Atura brand.

“Oran Park is exactly the kind of market where Atura thrives. It’s a fast-growing destination with a strong sense of identity, increasing demand from business and leisure travellers, and significant momentum as Western Sydney continues to evolve.”
