Accor’s newest 239-key Brisbane property will open in November, marking the hospitality giant’s 22nd property in the river city.

Following hints dropped in an exclusive September interview, the hotel group has confirmed Novotel’s return to Queensland’s capital.

Owned by Frasers Hospitality, Novotel Brisbane City Centre is officially slated to debut on November 1.

Operating under Accor management, the property will undergo refurbishments in the coming months to its arrival experience, reception, restaurant and bar. Renovations will also be expanded to include technology and connectivity upgrades, and the property will also adopt Novotel experiences.

This latest signing is the third between the two groups, with an existing partnership that includes Novotel Melbourne on Collins and Novotel Sydney Darling Square.

Located on 80 Albert Street, the property sits close to Queen Street Mall and the City Botanic Gardens. Novotel Brisbane City Centre will feature three meeting rooms offering 240 square metres of event space, a restaurant, a 24-hour gym and yoga room, an indoor heated swimming pool, a steam room and sauna.

“Novotel Brisbane City Centre is opening at a defining moment for the region,” said Accor Chief Operating Officer – Pacific, Adrian Williams said.

“With major investment in infrastructure, tourism and events underway, we see enormous potential for Brisbane over the coming decade. Our focus is on ensuring we have the right brands in the right locations to meet that growth, and we are delighted to expand both our Novotel network and our partnership with Frasers Hospitality.”

The launch comes as the city prepares for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“This transformation represents an exciting milestone for Frasers Property as we partner with Accor on this premier Brisbane asset. Continued investment in this property reflects our commitment to continually enhancing our hospitality portfolio to deliver high-quality experiences and sustainable long-term value,” Frasers Hospitality Executive Director, Head of Investment and Asset Management, Jason Leong said.

Novotel Brisbane City Centre joins a global network of more than 630 Novotel properties across 70 countries.
