Accor has opened the 4-star Mercure Auckland Queen Street, located in the heart of New Zealand’s largest city.

Situated near the Town Hall, Civic Theatre and Aotea Square, the 96-room hotel promises to indulge and delight guests with its contemporary design and boutique interiors.

Accor Pacific CEO, Simon McGrath, said the hotel’s inviting guestrooms offer king, queen or twin beds with warm decor, alongside unlimited free WiFi, a 50-inch smart TV and a work desk, making them ideal for business and leisure travellers.

“If you’re staying in a deluxe room, enjoy the elevated city views with an outdoor balcony,” he said. “For families the hotel has inter or outer-connecting rooms while other personal touches include 24 hour reception, fitness centre, boardroom and reduced mobility rooms.

Set at the centre of the hotel with street access and a coffee window is The Basement Restaurant and Bar, a bright, lively restaurant offering all day dining of delicious Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

McGrath said that Accor’s Accor Live Limitless loyalty customers would certainly make the most of the new hotel.

“We are proud to open a Mercure on Queen Street in vibrant Auckland, a wonderful addition to our portfolio of properties,” he said. “Our Accor Live Limitless customers will enjoy the building’s incredible location, personality, charm and outstanding service.

“The hotel has been developed with skill and thoughtful detail, and will enrich Queen Street and the city’s accommodation and bar scene for our growing customer base.”

To celebrate its opening, Mercure Auckland Queen Street has launched an opening special of NZ$199 per night in a Standard King Room including continental breakfast.

Mercure Auckland Queen Street is located at 500 Queen Street, Auckland, New Zealand.
