EVT Hotels and Resorts has revealed its transformation of Hotel Alba in Adelaide’s CBD as the hotel begins welcoming its first guests on Thursday September 21.

A member of the Independent Collection by EVT, the South Terrace hotel is described as “a stylish urban retreat” with 99 guest rooms – a mix of standard rooms, studios and one-bedroom apartments – all with their own private balcony.

Hotel Alba is the latest hotel to join the South Terrace Precinct that also includes The Terrace Hotel and Hotel Motel, all part of EVT’s Independent Collection.

“Adelaide is a vibrant city with a cosmopolitan spirit and the newly transformed Hotel Alba encapsulates this by bringing an urban retreat to the CBD,” said Independent Collection by EVT Group General Manager, Brett Barlow.

“Coupled with the grand opening of the newest city eatery, Ela, Hotel Alba is an exciting addition to the Independent Collection by EVT. We know guests will discover the perfect sanctuary for business, relaxation or adventure.”

Hotel guests can avail of a relaxing pool, and a contemporary Mediterranean inspired restaurant, Ela, helmed by Executive Chef Nigel Rich and Head Chef Ashleigh Lindner.

Local South Australian produce is celebrated on the menu with options for breakfast, all-day dining, light poolside snacks, dinner and in-room dining.

Hotel Alba General Manager Samantha Farrington of says ela will attract both locals and travellers with a love for rich Mediterranean flavours, local ingredients and memorable dining experiences.

“This is a restaurant that appeals to a wide audience – and not just hotel guests,” she said.

“With a strong focus on local produce including an extensive South Australian beverage list, we are certain people from across Adelaide and beyond will fall in love with Ela’s authentic culinary experience.

Executive Chef Nigel Rich is formerly of d’Arrys Verandah, Jolley’s Boathouse, Universal Wine Bar, The Elbow Room, while Head Chef Ashleigh Lindner brings experience from Crusoe’s Restaurant and the Sheraton Grand Mirage.

The venue features casual bar seating, a main dining area, poolside function space and a private dining room for groups of 25. Ela will host live music on Fridays, as well as activations such as Paint and Sips and bottomless brunches.
