Elanor Hotels unveils luxury eco retreats within Parklands Resort Mudgee

Elanor Hotels has expanded its regional accommodation offering with the recent launch of an eco-friendly and pet-friendly glamping experience, Mudgee Retreats.

Located within the 30-acre Parklands Resort Mudgee – a 3.5-hour drive from Sydney – Mudgee Retreats encompasses 15 design-led canvas tents featuring luxurious four-poster king size beds, private ensuites and an outdoor deck.

A curated selection of local gourmet treats is available to guests, as well as continental breakfast, which is delivered to the door.

Retreat guests also have access to a private tennis court, indoor pool, fitness centre and heated spa.

Elanor Hotels Head of Commercial, Shaun Ormsby, expects the eco-friendly offering to be popular with both couples and solo travellers.

“After seeing an increase in demand for sustainable and immersive travel experiences, we developed Mudgee Retreats at Parklands Resort Mudgee as an alternative option for travellers looking for an authentic glamping experience in the heart of Mudgee,” said Ormsby.

“Our Retreats are ideally located a stone’s throw away from the historic town centre and close to some of the region’s best wineries and restaurants, so guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of Mudgee and then relax at the end of the day in the ultimate in comfort and sustainability.”

Each of the retreats have been built using the Eco Anchor foundation system and Eco Decking flooring, made from recycled rice husk composite material that provides thermal insulation, resulting in a minimal environmental footprint.

They are also energy efficient and can be heated or cooled very efficiently due to the canvas construction, maintaining an ambient air temperature which ultimately minimises power consumption.

“Having a minimal thermal eco footprint on this beautiful piece of land was very important to us, and the retreats are designed to be energy efficient and can be heated or cooled very sustainably due to the smart canvas construction holding the ambient air, minimising power consumption,” Ormsby added.

Mudgee Region Tourism CEO, Tim Booth, said the glamping experience will be “an incredible addition” to the Mudgee Region

“[Mudgee Retreats allows] for both leisure travellers to enjoy a boutique offering close to town, as well as an incredible opportunity for corporate travel with a unique experience for conferencing accommodation,” Booth said.
