American Airlines has revealed a range of new routes and destinations for 2027, including several cities that are exclusive to the carrier.

The carrier will be the only United States airline flying to Vienna, when service begins next May.

In addition, Reykjavik, Iceland, and Porto, Portugal, will also join the airline’s network next summer.

“Coming off a summer of celebration, American is growing to offer new destinations and routes, bolstering our premium global route offerings,” said American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, Brian Znotins.

“Our international network has expanded to offer destinations to satisfy every travel palate.

“Combined with our investments enhancing our onboard product and inflight experience, travellers have more reasons to choose American when they fly around the world.”

American will make it easier for travellers to visit marquee destinations like Amsterdam, Barcelona, Spain, and Nice, France.

American will also add an additional frequency to London, where the airline continues to enhance the customer experience in partnership with British Airways.

Next summer, American will add three new destinations to its network from Philadelphia to Porto, Portugal, Reykjavik, Iceland and Vienna.

American will serve Porto and Vienna for the first time ever, while offering flights to Reykjavik for the first time since 2019.

American will be the only United States airline serving Vienna, expanding the airline’s Central European network that grew in 2026 to also include Prague and Budapest, Hungary.

In addition to new destinations, American will also expand its network with more new routes to Europe.

From New York’s Kennedy Airport, customers will have nonstop access to Amsterdam and Nice, France.
