The announcement marks a major milestone for MGallery and underscores the chain’s strategic commitment to grow its leading hospitality brands throughout key gateway locations in North America, according to Accor’s CEO for Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems, Maud Bailly.
“New York City is one of the world’s most influential travel destinations, and welcoming Ink 48 into the MGallery Collection represents a significant step forward for our brand in North America,” she said.
“The hotel already enjoys a strong identity and a prime location, and through MGallery’s focus on storytelling, design and memorable guest experiences, we will further enhance its character while introducing our distinctive hospitality vision to guests visiting the city from around the world.
“As our preeminent flagship MGallery in the United States, Ink 48 will play an important role in increasing brand awareness and supporting our continued expansion across the region.”
Following the signing, the hotel will embark on an extensive renovation and enhancement program designed to elevate the guest experience while preserving the property’s distinctive character.

During this transition period, Ink 48 will continue to operate independently before officially joining MGallery Collection as the brand’s United States flagship hotel in 2028 and managed by Rebel Hotel Company.
“We are delighted to partner with Accor to bring Ink48 into the MGallery Collection,” said Capstone Equities Head of Asset Management, Andres Ramirez.
“Ink48 has always stood apart in Manhattan’s hotel landscape, a property with a genuine sense of place and a loyal following.
“MGallery is the ideal brand to build on that: a collection defined by individuality rather than uniformity, allowing us to elevate the guest experience and the hotel’s positioning while preserving what our guests value most about it,” he said.
Located in Hell’s Kitchen on Manhattan’s West Side, just steps from the Hudson River and within easy reach of Times Square, Hudson Yards and Broadway, Ink 48 is a landmark lifestyle hotel known for its expansive views over the New York skyline and waterfront.
The property features 222 guestrooms, including 17 suites, a rooftop bar, restaurant and meeting facilities, making it one of the most prominent MGallery addresses in North America.
