The Series by Marriott brand will debut in New Caledonia with resorts in Noumea, the Isle of Pines and Deva in partnership with Societe Hoteliere de Noumea.

SHN’s three flagship Le Domaine du Pacifique resort properties in Noumea, the Isle of Pines and Deva will join the Series by Marriott portfolio, the group’s newest collection brand, with each resort showcasing an element of New Caledonia’s natural beauty.

The three resorts offer a combined capacity of 375 guest rooms and suites: 120 at Le Domaine Deva, Series by Marriott, 48 at Le Domaine Oro, Series by Marriott and 207 at Le Domaine Noumea, Series by Marriott.

Facilities across the three properties include beachfront and lagoon settings; multiple restaurants and bars; outdoor pools; fitness centres; Deep Nature Spa facilities; direct beach access and water-based recreation; meeting and event spaces in Nouméa and Déva; and access to Golf de Déva in Bourail.

“We are delighted to strengthen our longstanding relationship with Societe Hoteliere de Noumea and introduce Series by Marriott to New Caledonia,” Marriott International Regional Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Jason Nuell said.

“These distinctive resorts reflect the character, culture and natural beauty of New Caledonia and embody the vision of Series by Marriott: regionally created and globally connected.

“Through this collaboration, guests will be able to enjoy memorable local experiences with modern design and warm hospitality, alongside the trusted consistency and Marriott Bonvoy member benefits they know from Marriott across the globe,” he said.

Brieuc Frogier, President of Promosud, SHN Administrator and 2nd Vice-President of the Southern Province in charge of the tourism sector, said: “With these new agreements, we are opening a new page in our relationship with Marriott International. They allow us to strengthen the specific identity of each of our establishments while continuing to benefit from the power and expertise of a world leader in the hotel industry.

“This is an evolution that fully meets our ambition: to promote New Caledonia through an authentic, demanding and resolutely internationally oriented hotel offering.”

Le Domaine Déva, Series by Marriott is located in Bourail within the Déva Domain nature reserve, beside a UNESCO World Heritage-listed barrier reef. Designed for leisure, special events and nature-led stays, the resort features direct beach access.

Le Domaine Oro, Series by Marriott is set on Oro Bay on the Isle of Pines, an intimate island resort surrounded by white-sand beaches, coconut groves, pine trees and lagoon scenery.

Le Domaine Nouméa, Series by Marriott is on Anse Vata Bay in front of the world’s largest lagoon listed by UNESCO and offers French-influenced style with direct beach access.
