Developed under a franchise agreement with Australian-based M Property, the new-build Westin Gold Coast has signed La Vie Hotels and Resorts as the hotel management company for the future development.
The hotel is expected to occupy levels 6 to 25 of the new-build mixed-use development, with 115 rooms and 23 suites and the move marks the Westin brand’s entry into the Gold Coast, complementing Marriott International’s existing portfolio of Gold Coast hotels, JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa and Sheraton Grand Mirage Gold Coast.
“Being appointed to manage Westin Gold Coast is a proud milestone for La Vie Hotels and Resorts and a strong endorsement of the platform we have built across the Asia-Pacific region,” La Vie Hotels and Resorts Chief Executive Officer, Jerry Xu said.
“We have tremendous respect for the vision that M Property team have brought to this development, and we are honoured in the trust they have placed for La Vie to bring that vision to life.

“This landmark signing with Marriott International reflects the quality of the project and the continued growth of La Vie as a leading independent Hotel Management platform. Together with our partners, we look forward to delivering a world-class hotel experience and setting a new benchmark for hospitality on the Gold Coast,” he said.
Marriott has a further four properties on the Gold Coast in the pipeline: AC Hotel Gold Coast set to open in 2026, The Ritz-Carlton Gold Coast slated to open in 2027, a luxurious St Regis Hotel Gold Coast in 2027 and a Marina-Mirage Gold Coast to open in 2028.
“The Westin Gold Coast represents a natural fit between brand and location, and we already see strong performance across our existing Westin portfolio, both in key domestic and international source markets for the Gold Coast,” said Marriott International Director of Hotel Development, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Tristan Cooper.
“We are excited to welcome Westin to the Gold Coast and introduce a genuine point of difference to the market.”

Designed to cater to both leisure and business travellers, the hotel is expected to feature a signature restaurant and bar, conference and meeting facilities, an infinity pool and pool bar, fitness studio and the brand’s signature Heavenly Spa by Westin, with dedicated guest parking.
An M Property spokesperson said: “This signing represents a significant step forward for M Property and reinforces our long-term vision for the Gold Coast as a world-class hospitality destination. Partnering with Marriott International to bring the Westin brand to this market is a milestone we are proud to see come to fruition.
“Westin’s focus on wellness and an elevated guest experience aligns closely with what we set out to create through this development. We are also pleased to have La Vie Hotels & Resorts appointed as the hotel operator.
“Their track record, professionalism and genuine understanding of the guest journey make them the right partner for this project, and we look forward to what we will build together.”
