Anantara momentum continues with United States debut

Minor is set to debut Anantara in the United States, with the announcement coming just two months after the group unveiled the launch of the luxury brand in Australia.

Anantara Miami Resort and Residences will rise 650 feet above Biscayne Bay in Miami’s Edgewater district in 2030, and will become the luxury brand’s first U.S. property.

The 50-storey tower is being developed in partnership with One Thousand Group, and will offer uninterrupted views across the Bay, the first tower in the area to do so, and will also feature a private rooftop helipad.

The landmark development is said to be a defining moment for the group’s global expansion and introduces a new paradigm of urban living shaped by immersive experiences, cultural connection and holistic wellbeing, according to parent company, Minor International.

The planned building will feature 100 private branded residences and 120 resort residences, allowing owners to make their residences available to hotel guests, in addition to 50 hotel suites and “a collection of unprecedented vitality and longevity amenities that will bring the principles of ancient healing and modern longevity into Miami’s urban landscape for the first time,” Minor stated. Sales are anticipated to launch later this year, with One Sotheby’s International Realty appointed as the exclusive sales partner.

“More than a traditional branded residence, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences is conceived as a fully integrated lifestyle destination where hospitality, private ownership, and wellbeing will coexist seamlessly, reflecting a shift toward more flexible, experience-driven living.”

Anantara Miami Resort and Residences represents a major step in Minor Hotels’ strategic expansion into the United States.

“True luxury is time, the freedom to pause, to explore, and to experience the world more deeply. Miami is the perfect location for the debut of our luxury Anantara brand into the U.S., and we are excited to partner with One Thousand Group to bring this vision to reality,” Minor International Founder and Chairman, William E Heinecke said.

A dedicated vitality centre focused on movement, nutrition, and recovery will anchor the property, alongside holistic programming inspired by centuries-old Thai healing traditions.

“Anantara Miami Resort & Residences introduces something entirely new to the U.S. It’s not just another branded residence, but a fully realised concept that blends hospitality, private ownership and longevity into one unified experience,” Co-Founder of One Thousand Group, Kevin Venger said.

The development architecture will be overseen by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), the firm behind some of the world’s most renowned and transformative skyscrapers, including One Vanderbilt in New York, in collaboration with ODP Architecture & Design, and interiors by Patricia Urquiola, marking her first residential project in the United States.

“Our approach has always been to anticipate where the market is going and develop buildings that don’t yet exist in Miami. With Anantara, we saw an opportunity to bring a globally respected brand into a market that is ready for something more meaningful and experience-driven,” Co-Founder of One Thousand Group, Michael Konig added.
