The Motto lifestyle brand is Hilton’s seventh in Australia, and offers “cleverly compact design, vibrant social spaces and locally inspired experiences,” according to the group.
Located in Sydney CBD, the new hotel will feature 152 rooms, the compact designed Motto by Hilton will include a diverse mix of accommodation offerings, including 96 standard rooms, 14 bunk rooms, 14 flex rooms, eight accessible rooms and 20 suites. In addition, 56 rooms are able to interconnect to suit families and small groups.
“The location of Australia’s first Motto by Hilton property has been strategically selected in the heart of Sydney’s vibrant food scene, placing guests amongst some of the city’s most iconic experiences,” Hilton Director Development Australasia, Tushar Raniga said.
“Motto by Hilton is redefining the city stay, bringing a fresh, dynamic approach to hospitality in some of the world’s most renowned destinations. The signing of the Sydney property marks the next step in this evolution, grounded in Hilton’s legacy of delivering exceptional guest experiences”.
Building upon Hilton’s lifestyle brand presence in Asia Pacific, Motto by Hilton has expanded to 10 properties in prime urban locations worldwide, including its most recent opening in Hong Kong Soho. The Australian expansion is part of a greater pipeline of 23 additional Motto by Hilton currently in planning and development.

“Spaces at Motto link, flex, and transform to fit how guests and locals move through the day,” Hilton stated, with the hotel to offer dynamic communal spaces to connect locals and guests with its lobby to double as a communal space for remote working, as well as a place to meet. The hotel is also expected to offer dynamic food and beverage concepts, inventive mixology and a rooftop bar.
In partnership with Invictus Developments, Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre is set to open in late 2027.
