Deicorp, partnering with hotel operator Trilogy Hotels and Marriott International, will launch Sydney’s First AC by Marriott Hotel within the developer’s mixed-use Hyde Metropolitan project.

The landmark partnership is said to launch a new benchmark for design-led hotel accommodation in the city and will occupy the lower levels of Deicorp’s Hyde Metropolitan tower, designed by acclaimed architects Candalepas Associates.

With construction currently underway, the 104-room AC Hotel by Marriott –Sydney Hyde Metropolitan is scheduled to open in late 2027 to complement the tower’s 169 high-end residences positioned above. The property is located near Sydney’s Hyde Park, positioned close to Museum Station and the Gadigal Metro.

AC Hotel by Marriott is expected to offer guests a refined experience featuring harmonious interiors, warm materials, and curated details, with hotel guests also being given access to a signature ground-floor restaurant and a Skybar on level six.

“Hyde Metropolitan will bring together homes, hospitality and lifestyle in one of Sydney’s most connected locations,” Deicorp Founder and Chairman, Fouad Deiri OAM said.

“Partnering with Trilogy Hotels and Marriott International to deliver the first AC Hotel in Sydney reflects the project’s vision of refined elegance and style. It introduces a grand new hotel experience to the Hyde Park precinct: design-led, elegant and perfectly positioned to reflect our ambition for this building and the city around it,” Deiri said.

Incorporating the AC Hotel by Marriott – Sydney Hyde Metropolitan into their flagship CBD project is said to reflect a broadening of Deicorp’s mixed-use development strategy and responds to the critical need for more visitor beds in Sydney.

With more than 250 hotels worldwide and a further 180 in the pipeline, AC Hotels by Marriott is one of the fastest-growing brands in Marriott’s lifestyle portfolio.

“Expanding Marriott International’s footprint in the tightly held Sydney market is always a milestone, and to do so alongside Deicorp – with a mutual dedication to high quality and standards – is particularly pleasing,” Marriott International’s Director, Hotel Development – Australia, New Zealand and The Pacific, Tristan Cooper said.

“This lifestyle hotel is slated to bring a sophisticated edge to the Sydney market, backed by our world-leading Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program with nearly 271 million global members, who thrive on fresh, distinct experiences. We thank Deicorp for their trust in Marriott International and AC Hotels, and we look forward to a successful collaboration with Trilogy Hotels as they lead the hotel’s management,” Cooper said.

Independent hotel management company, Trilogy Hotels, will provide an operating platform for the hotel adding it to its current 18 investment-grade hotels within its growing portfolio.

“We are very proud to partner with Deicorp and Marriott International to manage Sydney’s first AC Hotel,”  Trilogy Hotels CEO, Scott Boyes said.

“This prestigious project aligns with our commitment to delivering operational excellence for hotel owners while providing guests with unforgettable experiences,” Boyes said.
