The flights to Dallas Fort Worth recommence on October 25 and will be operated by American’s newly designed Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring 51 Flagship Suite seats and 32 Premium Economy seats.
The new Flagship Suites recently debuted on services from Chicago to London and have received extremely favourable reviews from media and frequent flyers alike.
“At American, we know our customers are counting down the days to their next vacation, and we’re excited to expand our newly debuted Flagship Suite seats to new long-haul destinations,” said American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, Brian Znotins.
“In addition to giving customers more premium seat offerings in key markets, we are also expanding this product to some of our longest routes, giving travelers an elevated experience when traveling to exciting destinations.”
The flights from Brisbane to Los Angeles will operate three times per week and will be marketed in partnership with Qantas.
“American is proud to partner with Qantas to increase travel options for customers to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this (northern) winter,” said American’s Vice Chair and Chief Strategy Officer, Steve Johnson.
“For our customers, this means more ways to plan vacations to visit friends and family or jet off for a new adventure in one of the most picturesque regions of the world.”
American’s customers have more ways to enhance their travel experience. In addition to existing opportunities for American’s AAdvantage members to earn and redeem miles for travel on Qantas, AAdvantage members can also use their miles to upgrade to a higher cabin of service on Qantas on select fares.
