One Global Capital Chairman and Group CEO, Iwan Sunito, has introduced a new hotel brand to the market, One Global Resorts, with the official rebranding of his Skye Suites Green Square property on Thursday evening.

Designed by acclaimed Koichi Takada Architects, the multi-award-winning Infinity mixed-use precinct is the most celebrated of Sunito’s previous projects developed under his Crown Group business.

It will be the first of several properties to come under the brand.

“We are looking to take the Skye Suites hotel to the next level, under a new brand One Global Resorts,” he said.

“We have elevated the guest experience more along the lines of luxury international hotels. We will embark on developing a new hotel chain beginning with Skye Suites Green Square, followed by our site at Macquarie Park with more planned.”

The property features an infinity-edge swimming pool, heated spa, sundecks complete with private cabanas and sunbeds, state of the art gymnasium, gardens and landscaping, as well as 18 retailers and restaurants.

The hotel’s 90 serviced suites have been redesigned under the new brand vision. Each apartment features a kitchen area with Smeg and Miele appliances

Sleeping Duck memory foam mattresses and Smart TVs with Chromecast connectivity.

Located above the busy Green Square railway station, One Global Green Square is the only hotel on the rail line to Sydney International and Domestic Airports in Mascot.

It is also a popular choice for the TV and film industry given its close proximity to Fox Studios at Moore Park and is the host hotel for popular reality TV show, Married At First Sight.

Thanks to its prime location, the hotel maintains 85-95% occupancy throughout the year.

“We have seen record occupancies over the past two weeks with the hotel closing the second part of October at 97.8%,” said One Global Resorts Green Square General Manager, Quercy Jouannes.

“We have a healthy mix of corporate and leisure business, international and domestic travellers and the proximity of Moore Park and the entertainment quarter allow us to secure production long stays. We’ve had several film production teams stay for up six months.

“The Green Square urban renewal project taking place across Zetland and some parts of Rosebery, Alexandria and Waterloo is Australia’s largest urban renewal project revitalising the area which now houses an additional 60,000 new residents.”

A AU$20 million state-of-the-art conference centre with capacity for 650 seated and 1200 standing is set to open by mid-2025.

Sunito says it will be   the most technically advanced centre available in Australia and will attract global technology giants such as Google or Microsoft.
