Pier One Sydney Harbour launches Glass Room pop-ups and pottery classes for winter season

by Ruth Hogan

Pier One Sydney Harbour is inviting guests to sleep under the stars or try their hand at some pottery this winter in two unique Glass Room experiences.

The popular glass rooms return – this time created in collaboration with social media sensation ‘Pottery Boy’, Guy Vadas – from Thursday May 23rd – Sunday September 29th, 2024.

An extension of the luxurious Balcony Suites, set against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour, the pop-up  Glass Rooms feature a neutral, warm interior and Vadas’ bespoke ceramic designs.

The Luxe Lounge Suite features a double bed, allowing for overnight stays under the stars – or the lights of Vivid Sydney over the coming weeks. A number of scatter stools are placed within, accommodating eight seated guests and up to 12 people for group bookings during the day.

The Soiree Suite – with the same green and neutral toned styling – is a space to celebrate with friends, with seating for eight people and capacity for 12 guests. A number of interactive package add-ons are available including a DIY Ceramic or VIP Clay experience led by Vadas.

“I’m looking forward to bringing these incredible spaces to life,” said Vadas.

“Ceramics is such a wholesome winter activity, and to spend it by the beautiful harbour is such a treat.”

Available for hire at specific timeslots, with optional overnight stays, guests can expect an array of share plates and cocktails throughout the experience.
