Wayfarer TV: Virgin Australia’s Rob Sharp talks innovation, expansion

Virgin Australia Group Executive Rob Sharp says the airline is looking at future expansion and further innovation as the boutique airline continues to win over corporate travellers.

Speaking to WAYFARER Editor-In-Chief and host James Wilkinson after the airline’s Sydney-Hong Kong launch flight, he said Virgin Australia was an airline that serves the business market well, was aiming for further expansion in China and was winning over loyal travellers, with 8.5 million members now part of Velocity.

In the interview, he spoke about the partnership with Delta Air Lines on USA flights also revealed the airline was planning to launch major enhancements on the trans-Tasman market following the cessation of Virgin’s alliance with Air New Zealand, which comes to an end in October.
