Wayfarer TV: the best of Fort Worth, Texas from the Bowie House concierge team

by James Wilkinson

When the doors opened in at Bowie House in late-2023, it ushered in a new era of luxury lodging in Fort Worth where style and eclectic Texas design mesh impeccably well with the food, drinks and Auberge’s authentic hospitality on offer. The property is also located in one of Texas’ most vibrant cities that’s loaded up with museums, galleries and lots of Western adventures and to get a full insider guide to this popular destination, Wayfarer asked the Concierge team at Bowie House for an essential guide to the local area.

What are your favourite recommendations for activities and experiences on property at Bowie House?

One of my favourite experiences at Bowie House is visiting the Ash Spa, where a non-sleep deep massage or curated infrared therapy is a wonderful way to relax and restore.

To fully immerse yourself in the Western Spirit, we would recommend the Spirits of The West and Heel Toe Split, where guests can start with a guided tasting at The Bar, led by our bartending team, learning about the flavors and stories behind each spirit.

Afterwards, join Heel Toe Split for a beginners friendly two step and line dancing class with margaritas and choreographed routines by our instructors.

Tell us about some of your favourite experiences and tours in Fort Worth.

Fort Worth is full of experiences that highlight the city’s unique culture and charm. One of my favourites includes The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, a stunning space with rotating exhibitions that showcase both contemporary and classic works. The Fort Worth stockyards are also a must visit for anyone looking to experience the city’s Western heritage.

What are some of the unique cultural experiences the team can organise in the local area?

Our team at Bowie House can organize experiences such as a private after-hours tour at the Kimbell Art Museum or the Modern, followed by a live jazz or chamber music performance. The team can also enjoy a curated evening at Bass Performance Hall, paired with dinner at one of our favourite local spots.
