The Restaurant in Room concept was launched a few weeks ago at Ovolo Nishi in Canberra and following the easing of some restrictions in New South Wales, it is now available at Ovolo Woolloomooloo in Sydney.
“We’re all about adapting and evolving,” said Ovolo Group Food and Beverage Director, Vince Lombino. “From takeaway concepts with ALT CTRL EAT by Alibi and DELI by Monster, now with Restaurant in Room.
“Canberra’s had a taste of Ovolo’s take on ‘R in R’, and they love it! So much so, we have increased booking by double, and with the ease of restrictions, the team are welcoming groups of 4 – 10 as of today.
“We can’t wait to see the same success with [Ovolo Woolloomooloo’s] Alibi in Sydney.”
Ovolo Woolloomooloo’s Alibi Bar and Kitchen is the nation’s first 100% plant-based hotel restaurant and the menu features a comprehensive offering of plant-based burgers and bites alongside some clean dishes for those looking to keep things fresh.
With the ‘Restaurant in Room’ offering, Alibi Bar and Kitchen is creating private dining rooms in hotel rooms on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, and packages are also available that include an overnight stay.
A five course dinner for two guests is priced at $130 (or $220 with matching beverages) and add-on accommodation packages start from an extra $269. Overnight stays also include free WiFi, in-room mini bar, and breakfast for two guests.
When it comes to the Alibi menu, leading the way here are the cheeseburgers, which feature high-protein patties and sausages by The Alternative Meat Co, best served with a side of onion rings, cauliflower bites, mac and cheese and loaded fries with jalapenos. For those wanting to keep on the healthier side, plant bowls, kelp noodles and spicy udon are also available.
