Ovolo Hotels Founder and CEO Girish Jhunjhnuwala’s global expansion of the Hong Kong-based chain is showing no signs of slowing down, with England, New Zealand, the USA and more Australian cities on the radar.

Speaking exclusively to WAYFARER Host and Editor-In-Chief James Wilkinson at the recently remodelled Ovolo Central in Hong Kong – which underwent an extensive makeover that saw a new lobby created, a vegetarian restaurant added and a transformation of all 41 rooms – Jhunjhnuwala said alongside expanding the business, there was also a focus on upgrading all properties in Australia and Hong Kong.

Both Brisbane hotels – Ovolo Inchcolm and Ovolo The Valley – recently completed major makeovers, as was the case for Ovolo 1888 and Ovolo Woolloomooloo in Sydney.

In the video interview, Jhunjhnuwala also looks at plans for the company’s hip new brand Mojo Nomad, including an upcoming Melbourne project.
