Wayfarer TV Global Exclusive: Fiji Airways’ new initiatives, network reboot and becoming the world’s best boutique airline

by James Wilkinson

Fiji Airways was well on the way to becoming the world’s best boutique airline before the pandemic and now, thanks to new aircraft and brilliant initiatives in cabins, on the ground and for passengers of all ages, the South Pacific carrier is firmly ready to take the mantle.

Leading the way has been the carrier’s new fleet of Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 737-8 aircraft, upgrades to food and drinks onboard and in the lounges, a fantastic children’s conservation awareness program and the launch of a check-in counter at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa.

The carrier has also helped Fiji re-open to the world since the nation re-opened for quarantine-free travel on December 1 and has since resumed regular commercial flights to Australia (Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney), the United States (Honolulu, Los Angeles and San Francisco) and Singapore, with New Zealand (Auckland) coming back online from mid-February.

It’s an exciting time for the carrier and to find out all the latest, Fiji Airways’ Executive General Manager Corporate Communication, Customer Experience, Government & International Relations and Fiji Link, Shaenaz Voss, spoke exclusively on camera to Wayfarer Host and Editor-In-Chief, James Wilkinson, at Sofitel Fiji recently.
