The Frequent Traveler People’s Awards has recognised Delta SkyMiles as the Americas’ top loyalty program in four of its five award categories, including best customer service and program of the year for 2021.

The awards, announced Sept. 22, also recognised SkyMiles for having the best elite member benefits in the Americas in 2021 and the Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card as the Americas’ best airline affinity credit card in 2021.

The Frequent Traveler People’s Awards recognise excellence in loyalty in three regions and three core travel verticals. The winners are decided by the votes of more than 1 million members of over 100 frequent traveler programs around the world.

“The most meaningful awards are those chosen by our customers, who trust us to care for them on thousands of flights each day all over the world,” said Delta’s Vice President of Loyalty, Prashant Sharma.

“We remain unwavering in our commitment to deliver a best-in-class loyalty program that provides our customers with unmatched value and personalisation they can’t find anywhere else.”

The Frequent Traveler People’s Awards are the latest of many accolades Delta has received this year, including being among Fortune’s Most Admired Companies and one of Forbes’s Best Workplaces for Women in the U.S. Delta’s SkyMiles program outperformed all global airlines and secured the No. 2 spot overall in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of airline loyalty programs.
