Virgin Australia drops massive airfare sale

Virgin Australia has launched a three-day sale dubbed ‘Unearth Australia’, which starts today (Jul 21), for flights to popular destinations across the nation, including Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Whitsundays and Hobart.

A spokesperson for Virgin Australia said a significant portion of the economy routes on sale are under $100, including baggage and seat selection, and sale fares include travel periods around the September school holidays.

Some of the sale fares include: Sydney – Ballina (Byron Bay) from $75; Brisbane – Newcastle $89; Sydney – Gold Coast $95; Sydney – Brisbane $99; Sydney – Launceston $99; Brisbane – Proserpine (Whitsundays) $99; Sydney – Sunshine Coast $105; Hobart – Sydney $115; Adelaide – Sydney $125; Adelaide – Gold Coast $145; Sydney – Cairns $149; and Darwin – Brisbane $179.

The Virgin Australia spokesperson also said for added confidence, Virgin Australia is waiving applicable change fees and providing travellers with unlimited booking changes for reservations with travel between now and 31 October 2020.
