Video: American’s CCO Alison Taylor on how the airline is upping its Clean Commitment

by James Wilkinson

American Airlines is one of the global carriers leading the way when it comes to cleaning and safety, particularly through its Clean Commitment.

Just this week, the airline upped the ante with its Clean Commitment by adding the electrostatic spraying solution SurfaceWise2 from Allied BioScience to its multitiered cleaning and safety program in the coming months.

The SurfaceWise2 solution is the first-ever long-lasting product to help fight the spread of the novel coronavirus that is approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

In the coming months, American will begin using SurfaceWise2 for electrostatic spraying on surfaces inside its aircraft with plans to use the product throughout its entire fleet, including those in its American Eagle regional partners.

Other elements of the airline’s multitiered Clean Commitment, include enhanced aircraft cleaning performed before every mainline flight and an even deeper overnight cleaning.

There are many ways the airline is helping make travel safer for customers and in the video above, American Airlines’ Chief Customer Officer, Alison Taylor, looks at what is on offer.

She explains the airline’s efforts to seek accreditation for cleaning and disinfecting protocols, the upcoming efforts to care for customer and team member safety and well-being through additional enhancements such as an evolving boarding process and much more.
