by James Wilkinson

New York State’s Division of Tourism, under the I LOVE NY banner, has welcomed the launch of Air New Zealand’s new direct flights from Auckland to John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Operating three times weekly, the direct flight will also connect Australian travellers with one stop only to New York via Auckland.

“Australia is one of New York State’s key international focus markets,” said I LOVE NY Executive Director of Tourism, Ross D. Levi.

“There’s so much across the state for Australians who seek history, culture, and nature-based activities.

“This week’s inaugural Air New Zealand flight to New York marks a very exciting moment. It’s great that Australians now have hassle-free air connectivity via Auckland, and we look forward to welcoming even more travellers from Down Under in 2023.”

Highlights waiting to be discovered across New York State’s 11 regions include the iconic Niagara Falls, the Hudson Valley wine trails, and the Adirondacks Park, the largest natural protected area in the USA, ideal for outdoor adventures.
