The Dorchester’s Garden in London is back for summer

by James Wilkinson

The Dorchester‘s Garden in London has opened for the season, offering a new menu of handcrafted treats from Cake and Flowers.

Guests can choose from an array of delights including the Dorchester Rose mousse, a vegan chocolate cake, or a strawberry mille-feuille.

A bespoke Cake and Flowers ice cream cart will serve house-made sandwiches in flavours such as peanut butter and jelly and cookies and cream.

Guests can cool off with The Garden Frozé cocktail made from rosé wine or a non-alcoholic Summer Spritz made with Wild Idol.

The ‘Taste of Summer’ menu is priced at £58 and includes cakes, a glass of champagne, and a hot drink.

In addition, The Promenade will offer themed afternoon teas celebrating key British cultural events. The Royal Ascot (June 16 to 22) afternoon tea includes a Battenberg cake trolley, Wimbledon (June 30 to July 13) with a strawberries and cream trolley and finally, a British Summer Time trolley featuring freshly prepared Eton Mess.

At the chic Vesper Bar, the Vesper Invites series returns on June 29 with a celebration of Italian cocktail culture.

Four bars from The World’s 50 Best – Drink Kong (Rome), Locale Firenze, Moebius Milano and 1930 (Milan) – will take over the space across two lively sessions. Guests can expect live Italian swing music, guest bartenders, and complimentary cicchetti.
