Marriott International has announced Dylan Alcott and Ash Barty as its 2024 Marriott Bonvoy Ambassadors, as the travel program marks its third consecutive year as the official hotel partner for The Australian Open.

It’s the third year that tennis star and three-time Grand Slam Champion, Ash Barty, is representing the brand. “Travel has always been an important part of my life and I’ve been fortunate to have many amazing travel experiences during my tennis career and personally,” Barty said. “I’m excited to continue my ambassador role with Marriott Bonvoy, this time alongside my friend Dylan Alcott, and to help create special experiences for Bonvoy members during this AO.” Gold medal- Paralympian and 2022 Australian of the Year, Alcott, is representing the brand for the first time. He said travel has created many special memories for him and he looks forward to inspiring others to pursue their passions. “I’m extremely grateful that throughout my life I’ve been able to travel. I’ve been fortunate enough to experience so many memorable and special moments in my life with family and friends all around the globe,” he said. “I’ve been able to explore my passion and interests in sport, music and culture and form lifelong friendships with so many people who I might never have met without it. “I am pumped to partner with Marriott Bonvoy to continue on these travels and to hopefully inspire others to pursue their passions wherever they may lead them.” Alcott and Barty will speak at the Marriott Bonvoy lounge during the two-week tennis tournament, sharing personal insights on life, travel and tennis. “Marriott Bonvoy will showcase diverse and unique perspectives from our incredibly talented sporting Ambassadors, complete with special experiences with tennis legends Ash Barty and Dylan Alcott,” said Marriott International Area Vice President Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Sean Hunt. “Our Marriott Bonvoy guests will enjoy a premium hospitality experience with access to exclusive moments during the Australian Open and we are thrilled to welcome and host around 1000 members and VIP guests over the two-week tournament.” The Marriott Bonvoy’s premium experience lounge will offer guests food and drinks in a stylish setting with opportunities to take pictures with the Norman Brooks and Daphne Akhurst trophies.
