A partnership between Accor and Yaralla Sports Club, it marks the first new-build hotel to open in the region in over a decade.
The 32-room Peppers hotel will operate under a dual-branded accommodation offering with the adjoining 60-room Mantra Gladstone, located at the home of the sports club.
The expanded accommodation offering can now welcome over 150 guests, and has the facilities to host small to large-scale meetings, expos and weddings.
Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer PM&E, Adrian Williams, said the property sets a new benchmark for high-end accommodation in Gladstone and the broader Central Queensland region.
The hotel’s location on the Capricorn Coast, part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef region, is expected to appeal to leisure travellers.
“The debut of Peppers Gladstone is a proud moment for Accor as it brings a new level of hospitality to Central Queensland,” Williams said.
“This hotel is a unique addition to our premium brand portfolio and exemplifies our commitment to creating extraordinary guest experiences, blending Peppers’ signature style with the charm of Gladstone.”
The property offers a range of room types, from King Studio Rooms to Superior Two Bedroom Apartments, complete with fully equipped kitchens, large screen televisions with Chromecast capabilities, and a complimentary non-alcoholic minibar.
Designed by BSPN Architects and constructed by Mettle Projects, each room aims to reflect the surrounding landscapes – “from the bush to the city, lush rainforests, and breathtaking coastline”.
“The opening of Peppers Gladstone is an exciting moment for our region,” said Yaralla Sports Club, Chief Executive Officer, Will Schroeder.
“Together with Accor, we’re delivering a world-class accommodation option that’s set to become the ultimate destination for visitors, whether they’re here for business, a special event, or to explore our beautiful coastline.”
Hotel amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool and pool deck bar that serves up complimentary drinks at select hours, an eight-seater cinema room, gym, secure undercover parking, and two onsite restaurants offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Peppers brand, now in its 40th year, includes more than 20 Peppers retreats, resorts, and hotels across Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia.
