The Boeing 777-200LR aircraft that operate the airline’s Los Angeles to Sydney service are being refurbished with the new Business Class and Premium Economy cabins
Delta One suites, currently available on the airline’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft, feature a full height door at every seat and 180-degree fully flat bed seats.
Delta’s Airbus A350-900 flagship and upgraded 777 design is part of Delta’s multi-billion dollar investment in the overall customer experience.
In the past several years, the airline has made significant enhancements to the Main Cabin experience including free Main Cabin meals on select coast-to-coast routes, free mobile messaging, free in-flight entertainment, upgraded Main Cabin snacks, the addition of sparkling wine, access to Wi-Fi on nearly all flights, enhanced blankets and refreshed Flight Fuel food-for-purchase options.
Recent upgrades to the Delta One in-flight experience include new chef-designed Delta One menus curated by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo for flights from LAX, refreshed TUMI amenity kits with Kiehl’s products, and an Alessi-designed collection of serviceware.
Delta will refurbish all eight of its 777-200ER and all ten of its 777-200LR aircraft and expects to have taken delivery of 13 A350s by the end of 2019.
