The 51-room retreat sits on 20 hectares of bushland overlooking the Glass House Mountains, marking a new chapter for the hinterland property.
The extensive redevelopment across accommodation, dining, event and leisure spaces is expected to position the hotel as a premium destination for guests, weddings and corporate retreats.

The investment supports Mandala’s broader strategy of strengthening market appeal and long-term performance within its existing assets.
“Peppers Clear Mountain marks a confident and deliberate investment by Mandala Hotels and Resorts into one of Queensland’s most naturally compelling regions, elevating the property with a renewed focus on the experiences today’s travellers seek,” Mandala Hotels and Resorts Chief Operating Officer Gemma McCourt said.

“The transformation centres on reconnection, with oneself, with others and with the surrounding landscape, delivering a retreat that feels both restorative and deeply grounded in place. From wellness and nature-led moments to shared experiences designed for meaningful time together, Peppers Clear Mountain embodies Mandala’s commitment to creating destinations that enrich their regions and respond to the growing demand for purposeful, experience-driven travel.”
The project was delivered in partnership with hospitality design and construction firm Dezign, with the 51 guest rooms refurbished to offer a refined new look and elevated guest experience.

The newly refreshed Glasshouse Restaurant’s design is centred around a statement fireplace, banquette seating, lounge spaces and a contemporary bar, as well as two private dining rooms, and features a new culinary direction with its new menu introducing a garden-to-table element, supplying fresh, seasonal produce from The Chef’s Garden.
Renovated venues offer flexible configurations for up to 150 guests, and fresh leisure facilities include a dedicated billiard room, newly equipped gym and refreshed pool grounds.
“By elevating this iconic property into the region’s only five-star hotel, we aren’t just opening doors to a new hotel – we’re setting a premium new benchmark for Queensland hospitality. As we look toward 2032 and the arrival of the world’s greatest sporting event, we are entering a golden era of growth. Tourism demand is surging, flight capacity is rising, and the energy in the market is palpable. It truly is blue skies for Queensland and blue skies for Brisbane.

Peppers Clear Mountain is perfectly positioned to ride this wave of momentum, offering travellers a world-class experience in one of Australia’s most picturesque regions,” Accor Chief Operating Officer in the Pacific region, Adrian Williams said.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said the city’s first five-star hotel was a testament to the region’s growing leisure and business appeal.
“This premium venue is a welcome development for our tourism and major events industry which is experiencing high demand from leisure and corporate guests. The investment in this stunning hotel also demonstrates the confidence that investors have in the economic strength and opportunities of City of Moreton Bay.”
