Located on Newcastle’s harbourfront district, at 44 Honeysuckle Drive, the 181-room hotel has the highest room count of any hotel in the city, reflecting its smart compact room design.
“Little National Newcastle marks the third venture hotel in Australia, and stands as a testament to Doma’s commitment to providing an affordable luxury hotel experience,” said Doma Managing Director, Jure Domazet.
“We have had a presence in the Newcastle region for over 12 years now, so we were thrilled to be able to reconnect with local operators and contribute to Newcastle’s emerging hospitality precinct.”
The hotel follows Little National Hotel’s signature design concept, continuing its collaboration with architect Bates Smart and interior designer Luchetti Krelle.
Curated for both business and leisure travellers, Little National apartments span 36sqm and 37sqm spaces and feature a signature Little National Arms of Morpheus super king size bed, living room, kitchenette, and bathroom complete with luxury European amenities by Byredo.
Technology is integrated into the guest experience with four sleek reception kiosks available for check-in and check-out – through which guests can navigate a hotel floor and room map to select rooms based on their personal preferences – and in-room tablets to motion sensor light controls, and smart room thermostats.
A 24-hour onsite wellness centre, Hale Gym, features advanced Technogym equipment, and a two-storey atrium space, complete with member lounge and library, is available to guests for work or leisure, with panoramic views of the Newcastle waterfront.
“As General Manager, I am thrilled to join Doma’s newest addition to the vibrant city of Newcastle and lead a passionate team dedicated to excellence and guest satisfaction,” said Little National Newcastle General Manager, Thomas Craigie.
“Aligning with Newcastle Industry Tourism Group, we are eager to contribute to the city’s thriving tourism landscape, focusing on innovative offerings, sustainable practices, and inclusive initiatives.”
