La Vie expands international footprint

La Vie Hotels and Resorts has signed two new management agreements marking an entry into the Philippine marketplace and solidifying the group’s investment in key growth regions across South East Asia.

Following the launch of its Philippine office last year, La Vie Hotels and Resorts is taking on the management of Hotel Casiana & Events Center in Tagaytay and the development oversight of the under‑construction Grand Casiana Hotel Mexico in Pampanga.

According to the group, the signings signify its commitment to grow their Philippine portfolio, taking advantage of the country’s rising tourism momentum after welcoming 6.48 million international arrivals in 2025. The sector also contributed USD 91.8 billion to the economy last year, the highest tourism GDP in ASEAN and representing 19.9% of national GDP.

“The Philippines’ hospitality sector is entering an exciting period of growth, driven by increasing travel demand, airline access and continued investment in tourism infrastructure,” La Vie Hotels and Resorts CEO, Jerry Xu said.

The new agreements now establish a strong foundation for continued expansion and deepen partnerships with key stakeholders across the nation’s tourism and real estate landscape, La Vie stated.

“We sought an operator who understands both owner priorities and guest expectations, and La Vie’s flexible, solutions‑driven approach makes them the right partner,” Casiana Hotels, Developer and Owner, Jerry Sy said.

Hotel Casiana and Events Center Tagaytay is located in one of the country’s most popular leisure destinations and the 146‑key, Scandinavian‑inspired hotel offers a modern heated pool, children’s play club, multiple event spaces, and the iconic Crystal Ballroom, positioning it as a leading venue for leisure getaways, corporate retreats, weddings, and social gatherings.

Set to open in Q3 2026, the Grand Casiana Hotel Mexico will bring a contemporary 264‑key, 20‑storey hotel to one of North Luzon’s fastest‑rising development zones. Located just 30 minutes from Clark International Airport, the property is primed to serve the region’s booming aviation, logistics, business, and international tourism sectors.

Designed for the MICE and business travel markets, the hotel will feature large‑scale conferencing spaces, a rooftop bar, speciality and all-day dining restaurant, fitness centre, pool and day spa.

“Opening these new Casiana properties marks an exciting beginning to our growth journey in the Philippines. Both the domestic and international travel markets continue to show strong momentum, and destinations like Tagaytay and the Clark corridor are benefiting from significant infrastructure and development upgrades,” said La Vie Hotels and Resorts, Head of Hospitality Operations, South and South East Asia, Ramesh Bappoo.
