Sofitel New York has unveiled its reimagined guest rooms and spaces, with design influenced by the elegance of Paris and the sleek modernity of Manhattan.

The group’s U.S. flagship said the revitalised property reflected “the brand’s vision for a new era of contemporary French luxury in North America”.

“Today, nearly 30% of Sofitel hotels worldwide are being revitalised, a powerful reflection of our commitment to ensuring consistency and excellence across our entire network,” Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems Chief Executive Officer, Maud Bailly said.

“Following the transformations of Sofitel hotels in Philadelphia, Montreal, and Los Angeles, Sofitel New York emerges as our flagship Art Deco icon – a new milestone in our journey to showcase the very best of Sofitel’s French zest, harmoniously blended with the timeless energy and unmistakable vibrancy of New York City.”

Located in the heart of the city on 44th street, the hotel’s 346 guest rooms and 52 suites have been fully redesigned by HBA San Francisco with French-inspired wall paneling, custom furnishings and neutral tones.

New additions include The Penthouse on the 28th-floor, as well as two premier 24th-floor suites, the Grand Terrace Chrysler View Suite and the Panoramic Terrace Suite.

The hotel’s food and beverage offerings have also been elevated and now includes Social 45, Bar & Bistro, a late-night dining option which will also include an outdoor cafe opening in 2026.
