American Airlines’ AAdvantage members will have more ways to enhance their travel experience when flying on Fiji Airways, Fiji’s national carrier.

Fiji Airways has officially joined the AAdvantage travel rewards program and has become the newest full member of the oneworld alliance.

“The partnership between American and Fiji Airways is giving customers more ways to unlock new travel experiences,” said American’s Senior Vice President of Alliances Anmol Bhargava.

“As part of the AAdvantage program, members flying on either airline can immediately enjoy an elevated travel experience.

“Travel is better as an AAdvantage member, and American extends a very warm welcome to Fiji Airways customers joining the program.”

Bhargava said the enhanced collaboration will provide AAdvantage members a seamless experience when traveling on Fiji Airways.

Members with status will be able to enjoy benefits such as priority check-in, priority boarding, complimentary baggage allowance, pre-reserved seats, lounge access and more, when traveling with Fiji Airways.

Started in 1981 to reward frequent flyers, the AAdvantage program is the longest-running travel rewards program in the world.

Bhargava said the program gives members unparalleled experiences, more ways to earn and use miles and more rewards and status benefits.

As the newest full member airline of the oneworld alliance, status members will be able to enjoy their benefits when flying on Fiji Airways from now.

Fiji Airways, with its hub at Nadi International Airport (NAN), serves 25 destinations in 14 countries and territories globally. From North America, customers can seamlessly fly Fiji Airways to Nadi (NAN) from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW); Los Angeles (LAX); San Francisco (SFO); and Vancouver, Canada (YVR).
