Australian accommodation brand Urban Rest has opened a new serviced apartment property in London’s East End as part of a rapid expansion across the UK and Europe.

Catering to both corporate and leisure guests, Urban Rest Hackney brings the brand’s flexible, extended stay offering to one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.

The newly launched phase features a selection of one- and two-bedroom serviced apartments, with contemporary interiors.

“We’re delighted to open Urban Rest Hackney as part of our ongoing expansion in the UK,” said Urban Rest Managing Director, Europe, Izabela Szumiers.

“This location reflects our commitment to providing business travellers with the space and flexibility they need while maintaining the high level of personalised service that is a hallmark of the Urban Rest brand.”

Urban Rest Hackney offers 24/7 guest support alongside a fully integrated digital platform that can facilitate check-in, provide real-time communication, and offer a range of self-service options.

Urban Rest’s London portfolio includes properties in Battersea, Canary Wharf, Stratford, and Notting Hill, with further expansion planned for Spitalfields in 2025, and is actively seeking development opportunities in key urban markets across the UK, Ireland, and Continental Europe.

The company has also launched properties in Dublin’s Merrion Square, as well as several locations in Australia and New Zealand, including Parramatta, Bondi Junction, Richmond, Windsor, and Auckland CBD.

The second phase of Urban Rest Hackney, a warehouse conversion adjacent to the current property, is expected to open in mid-2025, bringing the total number of serviced apartments to 30.
