by James Wilkinson

Thanks to its location at Marina Bay, expansive Club Lounge, meeting facilities, wellness and fantastic food and beverage offerings, of Pan Pacific Singapore stands out as one of the city’s top hotels for business travellers. To find out what makes the property so popular, James Wilkinson spoke to Pan Pacific Singapore General Manager, Melvin Lim.

Melvin, Pan Pacific Singapore is popular on so many levels, from the location to the club lounge, design, rooms and food and beverage on offer. Tell us about your favourite things of the property.

What I personally love most about Pan Pacific Singapore is its ability to balance energy and tranquillity within one property.

On one hand, our unrivalled location in the heart of Marina Bay places us just steps away from Singapore’s most iconic attractions.

On the other, the hotel itself is an oasis, whether you are enjoying panoramic views from our Pacific Club Lounge on level 38, relaxing at our serene outdoor pool, or indulging in an exquisite meal at one of our six award-winning restaurants and bar.

Wellness is another cornerstone of our offering. Our award-winning spa, St. Gregory, provides a haven of renewal, while our Wellness and Lifestyle Collective offers exclusive access to the brand-new 177-square-metre gymnasium, outfitted with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, alongside the outdoor swimming pool, steam room, and shower amenities.

Guests can also benefit from personalised training sessions with our professional trainers, tailored to individual goals in fitness, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

Beyond that, Pan Pacific Singapore has long been recognised as both a premier MICE and culinary destination.

With 25 versatile meeting and event spaces spanning over 2,329 square metres, we are consistently ranked among the top business and meetings hotels in Asia.

Culinary experiences are a highlight at Pan Pacific Singapore, ranging from authentic Cantonese cuisine at Hai Tien Lo and fine Japanese dining at Keyaki, to quintessential afternoon tea at Pacific Emporium, creative cocktails at PLUME, and the vibrant live kitchens of Edge.

What ties it all together is the warmth of our associates, whose genuine hospitality transforms every stay into a memorable one.

Among the favourites are our Executive Marina Bay Rooms, which showcase sweeping views of the Marina Bay and the city skyline, the Premier Suites, offering elevated comfort with thoughtful touches, and our Skyline Suites, which combine generous living space with panoramic views, making them ideal for both leisure and business travellers.

For guests staying in the Pacific Club Rooms and Suites, the experience is enhanced with exclusive access to the Pacific Club Lounge on level 38, where Champagne breakfasts, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails are served against a stunning 360-degree city backdrop.

Melvin, what’s your x-factor at the Pan Pacific Singapore?

Our x-factor is our ability to deliver luxury that feels both timeless and personal. We are a property with a rich legacy dating back to 1986, yet we continue to innovate, earning accolades across meetings and events, dining, spa, and sustainability, while staying true to the heritage and warmth that guests have come to love.

The Pacific Club Lounge epitomises this balance. Elevated yet welcoming, exclusive yet warm. It is this seamless combination of location, design, gastronomy, and heartfelt service that makes Pan Pacific Singapore truly stand apart.

How important is the loyalty, particularly given the global popularity of Pan Pacific DISCOVERY?

Loyalty is absolutely vital in today’s hospitality landscape. Through our Pan Pacific DISCOVERY, one of the world’s most expansive loyalty programmes, our guests enjoy recognition and privileges across more than 800 hotels worldwide.

At Pan Pacific Singapore, this translates into exclusive rates, upgrades, and unique Local Experiences that connect travellers more deeply with Singapore. More than rewards, it creates trust, guests return to us because they know their loyalty is valued, not only here but across the Pan Pacific Hotels Group and the wider GHA DISCOVERY network.

What are some of your favourite things to do in the local area?

Our prime location in Marina Bay places guests within easy reach of Singapore’s most iconic attractions. Just a short stroll away are Gardens by the Bay, the ArtScience Museum, and the Singapore Flyer, all offering unforgettable city views.

The hotel is directly connected to Marina Square, Millenia Walk, and Suntec City, while the National Gallery provides rich cultural immersion.

For those seeking a more authentic experience, I recommend exploring vibrant neighbourhoods such as Kampong Glam and Chinatown, where heritage, creativity, and culinary treasures come alive.
