Fiji’s newest resort Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa has unveiled a range of new restaurants and dining experiences available following the property’s multi-million-dollar transformation and extension.

Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ premium collection, the new-look Crowne Plaza property features a total of 10 restaurants and bars with in-room dining also on offer.

At the time of publication, the resort is preparing to welcome local and international hotel industry executives for a networking event and site tours on Wednesday evening to kick off the inaugural AHICE Fiji Islands Investment in Tourism Summit.

Crowne Plaza Nadi Bay Resort and Spa Executive Chef, Ian Lovie, is aiming to wow guests and locals alike.

“To put it simply, I wanted to disrupt the culinary scene in Fiji, and challenge what was typically expected or offered at a premium resort in the South Pacific,” Lovie said.

“We’ve been meticulous in crafting a unique experience in every dining venue, ensuring each one has an individual flavour profile and atmosphere.

“While there’s a lot of international influence in the culinary offering, each restaurant has a key link to Fijian culture and the incredible cuisine, seafood and fresh produce that Fiji is known for. While a small island, Fiji is the beating heart of the pacific islands and has much to offer on the culinary front.”

Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa General Manager, Shaun Parsons, highlighted some of the exciting venues.

“We’re excited to open the Urban Sugar Beach Club in September as it’ll be the first beach club of its kind in Fiji,” Parsons said.

“We’ve focused not only on the culinary offering, but the entire sensory journey from the hotel’s contemporary design to the world class entertainment and ambience. International DJs will be kicking off our resident DJ program and we can’t wait to see our guests enjoying the sunset with a glass of rosé in hand.

“Our Italian restaurant La Bottega will boast the largest wine list in Fiji, and our speakeasy 17.78 Whiskey Bar, hosted in Latitude Bar and Lounge, offers a range of unique and rare whiskeys from Ireland, Scotland, Japan and the US. Guests are already loving the culinary experiences and we can’t wait to open the remaining venues in the coming months.”
