Beatbot’s AquaSense Pro makes life easier

by Wayfarer Editors

Cleaning the pool is a chore nobody has time for. Unlike other pool cleaners that prowl the bottom of the pool sucking up debris from the floor, the new Beatbot AquaSense Pro also floats on the surface to scoop up leaves. In an effort to really make life easier, it also dispenses chemicals to ensure perfect water clarification.

Sleek and stylish, the Beatbot AquaSense Pro (AU$3499) comes with an equally chic charge dock. Once it’s in the pool, the AquaSense Pro glides around effortlessly collecting leaves and dust perfectly.

It offers ultra-fine filtration (150 μm) and keeps everything it has collected safe in its two filter baskets. The battery life (10,400 mAh battery) for trawling the bottom of the pool is around five hours, and it takes around the same time to recharge.

The robot can be configured to different cleaning modes; either floor, wall, waterline and surface, or eco-mode where it cleans the floor every other day until the battery dies. There are also 20 different options to configure a custom cleaning mode that perfectly suits your pool.

Once in the water, the AquaSense Pro floats and scans its surroundings before submersing itself. It uses nine motors and two roller brushes to power through the cleaning. When it’s completed its cleaning, it returns to the surface near a wall for an easy retrieval, and comes with a hook to help you pull it out of the water.

The AquaSense Pro boasts a Quad-Core 1.8GHz processor, 20 different smart sensors (including dual ultrasonic AI sensors), smart navigation, AI-pool mapping and obstacle avoidance. While mapping is great around the bottom of the pool, on the surface it got a little confused around steps.

It works alongside an app and needs to be programmed before it gets in the water; the app doesn’t work while the robot is submerged.

A chic addition to your pool area that will make the shoulder season much less high maintenance.
