American offers ultra-low reward seats for AAdvantage members

American Airlines is making it easier than ever to travel by offering more than one million Main Cabin seats on domestic flights (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) redeemable at just 5,000 AAdvantage miles one way.

As an added bonus, Main Cabin seats on trans-Atlantic flights will be redeemable starting as low as 15,000 AAdvantage miles one way.

“Whether it’s a bucket list destination, long overdue family reunion, college football game or just about anything else, these award tickets let customers book any day of the week for travel throughout August and September,” the carrier says.

Seats are exclusively available to members of American’s AAdvantage program to must-see domestic destinations including Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando and Miami, alongside desirable international locations including Cancun, London, Rome and more.

“With no blackout dates in August and September, there’s no limit to where — and when — customers can go,” the carrier says.
