Accor has opened Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park in the city’s CBD as the group’s third Mercure property in the state. The latest is located near Swan River and features 70 guest rooms and a suite, with select rooms gaining access to private balconies overlooking the Perth skyline. The hotel also features a restaurant and bar, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
“The opening of Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park is a strong addition to our network in Western Australia. As the third Mercure hotel in Perth, it reflects the growing appeal of the brand and our commitment to providing quality accommodation that connects guests with the unique character of each destination,” Accor Chief Operating Officer in the Pacific, Adrian Williams said.
It’s the second Capital Bay Management partnership for Accor, following the launch of The Sebel West Perth.

“Joining the Accor family through the Mercure brand marks an important milestone for Capital Bay Management. With its prime position between Kings Park and the Swan River, the hotel offers guests a unique sense of space and connectivity to the Perth CBD,” said Capital Bay Management General Manager, Peow Lim.
Partnering with Accor allows us to introduce the property to a broader audience of leisure and corporate travellers, while building on the strong foundation already established with The Sebel West Perth.”
The brand offers a “glocal” approach to hospitality, dedicated to creating locally inspired experiences inspired by local stories.
Mercure has more than 1,000 hotels worldwide, and adds to Accor’s network across the Pacific, with the Group currently operating more than 420 hotels, resorts and extended stay properties across the region.
