Currently, the carrier operates a one-way flight from both Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita to Sydney once per week from each airport.
From October, JAL says it will also begin offering passenger services departing from Sydney and arriving in Tokyo Haneda twice per week.
According to Japan Airlines, flights will be operated by a Boeing 787 aircraft with the JAL Sky Suite Business Class and JAL Sky Wider Economy Class products.
The airline says one-way fares from Sydney to Japan are available from AU$936 in economy class and AU$3,607 in business class.
These flights between Australia and Japan will also offer connections to/from Europe and North America. One-way fares from Sydney to Europe are available from AU$1,077 in economy class and from AU$4,912 in business class.
To give passengers peach of mind when booking, JAL has also recently extended its flexible travel policy to 31 March 2021 which gives passengers the ability to change their tickets without incurring any change fees.
Additionally, the JAL Group says it has continued to implement key measures against COVID-19 to provide customers with a safe and secure travel experience and looks forward to welcoming back customers, as international flights gradually return to service.
